QNTM was founded in November 2019 with a vision to reimagine financial infrastructure for a digital-first world. From the outset, the company set out to bridge emerging technologies with real-world utility, focusing on building systems that move faster, work globally, and put users in control of their assets.
In January 2020, QNTM closed its seed round, securing early backing to accelerate product development and expand its technical and strategic capabilities. This funding enabled the team to lay the groundwork for its core platform while forming key partnerships across fintech and crypto ecosystems.
The next big step for the crypto economy was creating a unique service, allowing users to buy cryptocurrencies directly with a debit or a credit card. To date, we've already processed in excess of $1 billion in card payments.
QNTM launched its beta platform in June 2021, opening access to early users and partners. The beta phase provided critical insights into user behavior, performance, and scalability, helping refine the product and validate market demand for next-generation financial tools.
In May 2022, QNTM expanded into Web3 through a strategic collaboration with Gumball 3000. This launch connected digital assets with culture and lifestyle, demonstrating how blockchain technology could move beyond speculation into real-world experiences and engagement.
In June 2024, the company re-emerged as QNTM Pay Corp, rebuilt in stealth with a sharpened focus on payments, banking infrastructure, and card programs. This new chapter reflects a mature, infrastructure-first approach—designed to power scalable consumer and enterprise financial products for the next generation.
